Amphigenous, brown, necrotic leaf spots, bordered by a sharp blackish brown line, mainly on younger trees and ond the lower branches. On the spots several white globules, 0.2-0.3 mm in diameter, densely covered by stiff, extending, ± 0.1 mm long septate hyphae. The globules function as asexual dispersal agents; sexual organs are formed in the winter, on the fallen foliage"
